Circadian Rhythm Lighting with LED

SunLike technogy dawns to LED lighting. Human eyes are sensors with three photoreceptor cells on the retina which detect the intensity of light on differeing wavelengths. The result is transmitted to the brain which perceives the colour and then issues various instructions to our nervous layout.

SunLike lighting is human-centric where the spectrum technology of LED light generators will expand into the future with significant benefits to humanities future.

We now live significant proportions of our life with artificial light. Retreating for millions of years to the time of our ancestors many generations ago we find that the light of the sun and fire were encountered triggering a wish to use the power of light from both fire and sun and then extend these elements into normal night time for the benefit of continuing vision and activity.

Almost 100 years ago artificial light was developed where the spectrum of the light generated was very different from that of sunlight. So, comparing the spectrum of natural light which draws a smooth line to that of artificial light which has peaks in particular wavelengths and is lacking in others. The resulting differences have an effect on people and research into this is accelerating into areas where understanding of the biological clock within the human brain and cells is better understood, allowing creation of solutions that provide major benefits to health and well being.

Photoreceptors transmit light changes throughout the day to the brain and thus play an important role in determining human behaviour and sensitivity to timing.

Our needs as humans require developing technology to improve the quality of our life and interaction at work and play.

We tend to like light spaces for work but also seek shade when extremes are in play. Darkness is a welcome space for true sleep and the preparation is a change in colour temperature which begins to prepare us for sleep.

Original artificial lighting such as incandescent and fluorescent were created to provide us with light espcially during the hours of darkness or low light levels resulting from our move to activities inside.

LED Lighting technology now allows us to create "TRUE light sources which copy the sun and the daily variation in colour temperature and intensity from sun rise to sun set. This is Circadian lighting or Human Centric lighting replacing that which we traditionally benefitted from in outside space before we started moving in doors. We learned to build a roof or shelter in caves long before we have now learned how to make the very best artificial light for ourselves!

The real benefits can be substantial to us but especially to the elderly and very young who spend longer periods inside often in poorly lit spaces.
